Andrew Montgomery has everything money can afford him, except time. His father is ready to give up the helm of Montgomery Industry-something Andrew has been groomed for since birth. Only, his father won't allow him to take control until he satisfies one demand. Andrew must marry and stay married for five years, or the company will be sold off for charity, one share at a time.
Resort hotel maid, Hannah Miller never dreamed that the boy she spent every summer with until she was seventeen would grow up to become ruthless billionaire Andrew Montgomery. Or that he would call in the silly IOU she'd given him for saving her from a dangerous riptide when she was thirteen years old.
But nothing can prepare Hannah for what Drew demands as repayment. The sexy man not only intends to marry her, but to share their marriage bed as well. In every sense of the word.
This book includes mature subject matter that may not be appropriate for readers under the age of 18.
The word “billionaire” in a title or synopsis is usually enough to send me running in the other direction, but since this one was written by Marquita Valentine, I figured it was worth a shot, especially since the characters had already known each other since childhood.
When they were kids, Drew Montgomery saved Hannah from drowning, and in her childish hero-worship, she gave him an IOU, prmising to so anything for him if he every needed it. Fast forward to established adulthood, and Drew’s made a success of himself, but he’s short a wife. He wasn’t planning on rushing to the alter, but his father has manipulated him into finding a wife in the next 48 hours — and staying married for five years. Someone with his degree of success could probably easily find someone to fit the bill, but Drew needs someone he can trust, someone he actually likes, and someone who just might be willing to make it a real marriage. The someone he chooses is Hannah.
Hannah assumed that Drew forgot about her silly little IOU, so she certainly never expected him to cash it in all these years later. But he was her childhood crush, and she still cares about him. He needs her help, and she knows that despite the odd circumstances, he’s not looking to hurt her. So she agrees to the marriage he needs, knowing he wants to make it real.
Seducing the Billionaire’s Wife is a quick, fun read that was surprisingly sweet. Because the characters had history and were both just good people, it was easy to understand them and get behind them. Hannah was easy to identify with, and Drew’s compassionate side came out at every turn. If you’re looking for a sweet romance that will make you smile, this one is it.
